ClearTree was contacted by a homeowner in Kingston, WA, to perform professional arborist services on a mature river birch tree located near their home. The client requested a careful pruning to reduce risk while preserving the tree’s natural beauty. Our ISA Certified Arborists designed a pruning plan focused on safety, health, and long-term stability of the tree.
Scope of Work
We performed targeted pruning of 1x river birch tree located beside the house. The work followed the following specifications:
- Tip Weight Reduction: Reduced 10–30% of tip weight on 10–15 limbs around the canopy.
- Structural Support: Installed a Cobra Cable system to support two splitting stems.
The pruning plan was specifically aimed at:
- Mitigating limb failure risks
- Increasing the tree’s ability to handle snow, wind, and rain loads
