Project Overview
ClearTree completed a stump grinding project in Kingston, WA for a longtime friend. The homeowner had recently removed a large maple tree in the backyard and two huckleberry bushes. They wanted a smooth, level yard that would be easy to landscape.
Scope of Work
Our crew ground the large maple stump and the two huckleberry bushes down to six inches below ground. We left the resulting mulch neatly piled on-site so the homeowner could reuse it in garden beds.
Because several hardscape features and fences were nearby, we worked carefully to avoid damage. We always remove as much of each stump as possible while protecting surrounding structures and our equipment.

Access and Coordination
The homeowner prepared the site ahead of time and made sure we had 36 inches of access clearance for our machine. This preparation helped our team move efficiently and finish the work on schedule.
At ClearTree, we separate tree removal and stump grinding into different service days. This process allows each specialized crew to focus on their task and deliver consistent, professional results.
Results
The project turned out exactly as planned. The homeowner now has a clean, level area ready for new landscaping. The natural mulch blends with the yard and protects the soil.
Our client appreciated the attention to detail and the friendly, reliable service they’ve come to expect from ClearTree. We value long-term relationships like this and take pride in helping Kingston homeowners keep their properties beautiful and safe.
