ClearTree was hired to perform tree removal and tree maintenance Bainbridge Island WA for Fieldstone Memory Care, a senior living community located on the waterfront. The facility needed two trees addressed: a large red oak that was structurally compromised and a dead cedar posing a hazard.
Our mission was to remove these trees safely, protect the property’s landscaped areas, and—where possible—preserve natural habitat value. The work was completed under the supervision of an ISA Certified Arborist to ensure best practices, safety, and compliance with Bainbridge Island regulations.
Scope of Work
1. Red Oak Removal with Habitat Snag Creation
- Location: Waterside of the facility
- Details: Reduced to a 15–20’ living stump to serve as a wildlife habitat snag
- Services Included:
- Chipping branches
- Hauling away wood
- Raking small debris
- Environmental Benefit: The preserved snag will continue to provide shelter for birds, pollinators, and other beneficial wildlife while maintaining a natural visual element on the property.
Equipment Used: Chip Truck + Wood Chipper, Flatbed Truck + Dino and Trailer, Chip Truck + Avant Loader
Time: 4.5 hours service + 1.5 hours travel
2. Dead Cedar Tree Removal
- Location: Downhill side of the property near the road
- Details: Removed to a low stump for safety and appearance
- Services Included:
- Chipping branches
- Hauling away all wood
- Raking and clearing debris
Equipment Used: Chip Truck + Wood Chipper, Chip Truck + Avant Loader

- Arborist Oversight: An ISA Certified Arborist was onsite to oversee every step of the process.
- Ground Protection: We used 90-ton rated ground protection mats to prevent damage to the lawn and landscaped areas from heavy equipment.
- Priority Scheduling: After receiving city approval, ClearTree dispatched a crew within 24–48 hours to complete the work promptly.
